Gameplay

Recently, Blade of God X held an open playtest featuring three characters: Chaos, Esther, and Hela. However, Hela was the star of the show during the test period. Players could access the game through the Epic Games Store or with special access codes provided by the team. Earlier on, the game was tested with a traditional gaming audience, showcasing its high replayability and retention rates. The playtest mainly featured Hela, a sword/melee character with a myriad of abilities and transmogrification options.

The playtest kicked off with a campaign mission to restore the island of Muspelheim, challenging players with stages across various landscapes. Caravans played a crucial role, allowing team formation and raiding other players’ caravans. Players had the chance to upgrade equipment, level up skills, and take on bosses for epic loot. The game’s combat mechanics were finely tuned, offering dynamic combat strategies like counterattacks and precise strikes. The innovative Soul Core system added a layer of customization based on defeated monsters’ essences.

Review

When it comes to graphics, Blade of God X doesn’t disappoint. The visuals are top-notch, bringing every detail and environment to life with stunning clarity. Add in the vibrant effects that accompany character abilities, and you’ve got yourself one immersive gaming experience!

As I delved into the game, I did encounter a few minor bugs, especially with high-rarity transmogs causing some weapon glitching. But fear not, these little hiccups didn’t really impact the overall gameplay. With regards to sound design, Blade of God X hits the mark with distinct character conversations, sound effects, and abilities. However, one tiny annoyance was the main menu music being a tad too loud by default, so watch those eardrums!

Gameplay-wise, Blade of God X is a winner. It delivers an exciting and enjoyable experience for gamers of all stripes, blending familiarity with engagement. The main gameplay loop is solid, offering plenty of content to keep you engaged. The only downside? Seasoned players might find it a bit too easy.

In its current alpha phase, Blade of God X shows immense promise in the web3 gaming landscape. Available on multiple platforms including PC, Android, and iOS, this game is all about accessibility. Just a few tweaks to iron out those lingering bugs, and Blade of God X will be unstoppable!
