Dark Forest is a decentralized MMO space-conquest game built on zkSNARK, a powerful cryptographic tool.

Players begin with a home planet and gradually enlarge their domain by capturing additional planets. Infinite and cryptographically stated is the cosmos. The players can level up, take over another player’s planets, and gather ERC-721 collectibles while engaged in the conquest. One of the earliest decentralized “incomplete-information” games is called Dark Forest. CryptoKitties is an illustration of a comprehensive information game. Here, players are fully aware of the game’s setting, who owns which cat, and its feline inhabitants.

Games with incomplete information have hidden characteristics. The players must persevere because the complete status of the universe is still a secret. Dark Forest can continue to function in a similar manner while maintaining its decentralized nature. The coordinates of planets conquered are not submitted by players. Additionally, looking through the Dark Forest hashes will reveal nothing about the actual locations of other players.

Dark Forest Game Review

One of the most anticipated games at the moment is Dark Forest. It is still invite-only in version 0.5. On Ropsten Network, the earliest test phases took place. There were further repairs and reboots. The game has now transitioned to xDai Layer 2. Enter the Dark Forest website after receiving the keys. Enter your key using the Import Private Key option. Your xDai address and whitelisting by the system will be provided. Keep in mind that you do not have to utilize keys repeatedly. Your address information will be in the browser and will log you in by the burner wallet. Additionally, Dark Forest will provide you with a fractional xDai ($0.05), which is plenty to get you started in the game.

Your home planet will be displayed after you enter the system (Note: Finding a Home Planet may take a little time, up to a few minutes). Here are some fundamentals before we continue. Any planet you own will have a white outline around it. Only your home planet will be outlined in white at first. To rule over the others, you must first subjugate them. You will also receive an explorer in addition to your home planet. The explorer unlocks the Map so you can locate more recent planets.
