Mojo Melee – Game Review

Mojo Melee, the inaugural game in the Planet Mojo metaverse, combines NFTs with auto-battler strategy in a PvP chess-style experience.

Mojo Melee is the first game in the Planet Mojo metaverse. It is a PvP game that is similar to chess and has both NFTs and auto-battle strategies.

Planet Mojo’s immersive metaverse gets its start with Mojo Melee, which gives the autochess battler genre a new twist. Mojo Melee is based on popular games like Dota Auto Chess, Dota Underlords, and Teamfight Tactics. It lets players compete head-to-head in mini-tournaments that are a lot of fun. The game is interesting because it has a strategic planning phase where you can improve and place your teams, and then it has intense combat phases. Mystic Moose wants to change the way auto-battle games are made by adding new features and taking on established heavyweights like Teamfight Tactics by using their years of experience making games.

Mojo Melee Review

Mojo Melee introduces players to the auto-battle experience of the Planet Mojo metaverse. In the Duel and Melee game modes, players fight each other in strategic battles. Each match requires a team of champions with different skills to be planned and used. Even though the Duel mode isn’t very deep, it’s a good place to practice, and the eight-player Melee tournament lets teams get better. It’s part of the game to make teams, use gold to put champions and mojos on the arena, and use SpellStones to use magical powers. On the other hand, Mojo Melee is not as complicated or deep as other auto-battle games. Also, to win, you need to use strategic placement, power up your units and SpellStones, and use your special abilities. As the game gets better, players can expect more depth and features that make the game more fun.

Tokenomics:

Mojo Melee was made with NFTs in mind. It has a free Polygon NFT collectors pass and a “adoption” sale where players can buy special Mojos and characters. Even though these NFT projects didn’t have much of an effect on the user experience, they helped the team raise money. The money from selling NFTs will be used to improve the quality and depth of the game as a whole. Players can also buy non-NFT Champions and SpellStones with in-game $MOJ, Ore NFTs, or real-world money. It’s important to remember, though, that some Champions may only be available for a short time and won’t come back to the store. You can rent or buy Champions from other players, which makes the game’s economy even more dynamic.

Community Response

  • bellaX9: The adoption sale was a great way to unlock unique characters, and the NFT collectors pass added a touch of exclusivity. The gameplay itself is addictive, and I love the strategic depth it offers.
  • Samsor: The developers’ commitment to continuous improvement is evident, and I’m eagerly looking forward to future updates and new content.
  • 0900rev: The availability of Champions for a limited time adds unnecessary pressure, and the reliance on renting or buying from other players feels unbalanced. I hope the developers address these issues and focus on improving the overall gameplay experience.
